Easy Ginger Orange Marmalade

Orange marmalade is one of the favourites in our house. It’s always nice to have home-made marmalade in a kitchen cupboard so if you fancy something – just open cupboard door and it’s there :-)

Made from fresh oranges and ginger adds a little kick – wonderful spread on toast or biscuits.

(Makes approximately 700 ml)

Ingredients:

3 oranges

4 tablespoons ginger powder

450 gram sugar

100 ml water

Method:

Wash the oranges thoroughly then grate orange rind, set aside.

Peel the white pith from the oranges and remove seeds. Chop oranges into rough pieces and transfer to a blender or food processor. Blend until finely ground.

In a medium saucepan place all ingredients and bring it to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

When done let it cool for a bit before transferring to a sterilised jars.
